"I changed my homecare service recently to SCS because I was very unhappy with the level of care being given to me by my previous agency. From the very first meeting with Michaela, the owner of SCS, I felt comfortable and confident that they would be able to give me the care that I needed. The carers who visit me are caring, sensitive and skilled at what they do. Whether they’re helping me to dress, attending to my personal cleanliness or serving my meals, I always feel safe and secure. They even do my laundry and bring it back ironed!

I am always treated with dignity and it seems like nothing is too much trouble. I feel that not only do I have excellent care, but have also made new friends.

Thank you SCS for making my life so much easier and I would not hesitate to recommend your service."

"As a badly disabled person, due to MS and being of a large build, help is needed for all necessities on a daily basis. Specialist Care is the third agency I have used and is by far the best. As well as being a professionally run company, staff are punctual, respectful of me and my home, trustworthy and efficient. I have also found both management and carers to be of a caring and friendly nature."

"When my mother died five years ago my father was left alone with the onset of dementia and with his next of kin living over 200 miles away. The ward nurse at Hillingdon hospital who looked after my mother in her last days recommended getting help from Specialist Care Services (SCS) at Harefield. Although he was clearly unable to cope, my father fiercely resented having any form of care. Fortunately, SCS knew how to handle this situation and my father soon accepted and grew to love his first carer who kept in contact with him until the end. The SCS carers showed immense patience in getting my father to see sense in situations where I had failed. Three years down the line it became obvious that full time care was essential, but my father adamantly resisted going into a residential home. At that time SCS were not able to provide continuous full time care, so we engaged another firm to provide this. Within ten months it was apparent they could not cope with this demanding role. At one time my father was found wandering the streets in the middle of the night! Fortunately shortly after that, SCS were able to provide a team of carers who could give my father the full time care he needed. This he enjoyed in safety and comfort for the last year of his life. During that critical time a real rapport developed between my father and his carers and they in turn lavished genuine love and devotion on him. He was a very lucky man indeed to have had such very kind and helpful people around him until he finally floated away peacefully in his sleep."

As for myself, I was also a lucky man to have the knowledge that my father was so well cared for by SCS. The manager was accessible day or night and able to provide assistance, confident advice, support and reassurance whatever the crisis. It was a service I knew I could always rely on. I am delighted to have the opportunity to whole heartedly recommend it to any one who needs such care.
